My name is Rebekah Hamon. I am an Integrative counsellor working from a Person-Centred base. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I believe that people matter and I am passionate about my role as a counsellor. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of talking and I have witnessed the positive impact of this both in my personal and professional life. Therefore it is my goal to encourage others to begin this journey for themselves, working with them side-by-side enabling them to develop a better awareness of self and of others.
Life can be challenging and tough at times, which can take us on paths we might not expect, want or understand and sometimes we can feel confused and unsure of which way to turn. I believe that counselling is able to give you the hope that you need when your feeling hopeless.
I genuinely believe that we all have the potential and ability to lead fulfilling lives and move towards positive change and growth, if this is what we truly desire.
I started my counselling training in 2014 and I hold a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills, a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am now undertaking the Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Intensive Training Course.
I have 6 years experience in support related roles, both in the UK and Guernsey. Following this I spent the last 2 years working as a counsellor in the voluntary sector, which inspired me to start up in private practice.
